Common questions
What do the swipes do?
| Swipe | What happens |
|---|---|
| → Know it | The word gets a bit easier and comes back in 5 days. |
| ↑ Already know | The word moves to your Known deck and leaves your normal sessions. |
| ← Skip | Nothing changes. You’ll see the word in a later session. |
| ↓ Review later | The card goes to the back of the pile and comes back in this session. |

I marked a word as known by mistake
Open the Known deck and swipe the word left (Forgot). It goes straight back to its category.
A category says “All caught up”
You’ve gone through every word that’s due in that category. Words you marked “Know it” come back after 5 days. Until then, try another category or Random.
Where is my progress saved?
Only on your phone. There is no account and no cloud sync, so your progress doesn’t move to a new phone, and deleting the app resets it.
I can’t hear the audio
Turn up the volume. The audio also plays when your iPhone is on silent. If a word has no speaker button, it doesn’t have a recording yet.
A word, translation or recording is wrong
Thank you for spotting it! Email us the English word and what’s wrong, and we’ll fix it in an update.
Does Voxio need an internet connection?
No. Everything, including the audio, is in the app, so it works offline.
Is Voxio free?
Yes. There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads.
