Voxio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Voxio is a flashcard app for learning Spanish words. It is published by Andreas Daans, Belgium (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for the data described here. This policy explains what data the app and this website process, and why.

Summary

Data stored on your phone

The app keeps a small database on your device with the words and your progress for each word (how well you know it and when it should come back). This data never leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand how the app is used and to find bugs, the app sends usage events to PostHog, an analytics service. We use PostHog’s EU cloud, so the data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).

What is sent

What is not sent

These statistics are not used for advertising and are not combined with data from other companies. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

App updates

The app can download small content updates (for example, fixed words or audio) from Expo, the service we use to publish the app. To deliver an update, Expo receives the technical details every download needs, such as your IP address, the app version and the platform.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes your visit (for example, your IP address) to deliver the pages and protect the site. The website itself uses no cookies, analytics or trackers.

The App Store

You download Voxio from Apple’s App Store. Apple may share anonymous statistics with us, such as numbers of downloads and crash reports from users who allow this in their iPhone settings. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to the App Store.

How long we keep data

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Belgium this is the Data Protection Authority.

Because the statistics are anonymous, we can’t tell which data is yours. Deleting and reinstalling the app gives you a new random ID, so new statistics can’t be linked to the old ones. If you have a question or request, email us and we’ll help where we can.

Children

Voxio can be used by learners of any age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app never asks for it.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
